Sharon Hunt-Smith

After transitioning from a career in law to mental health, Sharon has worked as a Counselling Psychologist at Hampton Psychology for over sixteen years building a respected reputation with clients, GPs and psychiatrists as a trusted local provider of effective psychological treatment. She offers a warm, collaborative and evidence-based approach for adult clients dealing with a wide range of challenging life circumstances and mental health disorders. She has particular expertise in fertility issues, reproductive loss, non-directive pregnancy counselling, perinatal depression and anxiety, and women’s health issues (having many years’ experience working with individuals and couples at Monash IVF). Sharon uses a person-centred, client-focused approach, creating a safe space for clients to explore and resolve their mental health challenges.

Fiona Mitchell
BBSc, BPsych(Hons), MAPS

With more than thirteen years at Hampton Psychology, Fiona is an experienced psychologist with an empathetic approach and kind presence. Fiona’s background is as a Registered Cardiac Nurse, where she developed a deep understanding of health issues, specifically cardiovascular health. Fiona brings a wealth of experience from her roles at the Albert Road Clinic and the Royal Flying Doctor Service, further enriching her perspective and care. She sees adult clients with a wide variety of presentations.

Ardina Finlayson
BPsychSc, G.DipPsych(Adv), B.Comm, BAcc(Hon), MAPS

Ardina has over twenty-five years’ experience in corporate and financial sectors before becoming a fully registered psychologist. She supports adults and adolescents in overcoming challenges, building on strengths, setting achievable goals and striving for meaningful work/life balance. Ardina brings experience in workplace psychological injury, return to work interventions, and suicide prevention including experience in assisting in major life transitions, anxiety, depression, addiction, and personality difficulties. She has a special interest in peak performance and sports psychology, with an emphasis on mental well-being in sport and overall health and fitness over a lifetime. Ardina’s warm approach incorporates a combination of evidence-based therapies underscored in positive psychology and mindfulness.
